2015 was a GREAT year! With over 75 events..... that's 75 brides helped to have the wedding of her dreams! That's 75 families saved thousands of dollars! We are so humbled and honored to have been part of all of these weddings, which took us from San Diego to Temecula to Pasadena to Camarillo!!
2015 also brought the return to a formal showroom for us, AND the introduction of the dream! Our Wedding Chapel - although we're still getting settled and figuring out where in the world are we going to put everything LOL.... so our new hopeful launch date for the chapel is for Valentines Day!
We also learned the great news that we will be able to expand our space within the next six months to allow for a formal bridal room instead of shared space
We cannot thank our clients enough for allowing us to be part of the special day! and? we look so forward to the growth and helping even MORE couples in 2016!

Stephanie came to us on referral from Esmeralda from Linens by Celina - just two weeks prior to her wedding. She needed a chuppah with flowers and as we spoke she decided that she'd like me to do their personals as well. She had already opted for the DIY route for her centerpieces.
Her wedding was in the chapel of the Breakers building in Downtown Long Beach, and her reception up in the Sky Room.
We got the chuppah set up and draped - and headed up to the reception to finish up by adding the flowers to the cake. The delivery was running late, so while we were waiting we helped to finish setting up the centerpieces. Our original plan was to use two packages of dendrobium orchids on the cake but ended up using a bulk of them for the centerpieces as the original orchids purchased for the centerpieces could not be found. We were happy to help!
Cake arrived, we got it carefully adorned and off we went. Here are some shots of this amazing venue and our pretties decorating it.
I never got to see the bride, but the groom found me and greeted me with quite the bear hug! I guess he liked what we did!

Shenoa saw our ad on CL (the ONLY advertising we do beyond word of mouth) and contacted me back in March I believe. This bride knew exactly what she wanted, and what she needed to spend to make it happen on budget - one of the easiest rentals we've ever booked! She and her fiance Keith were getting married at one of our local venues, Old World in HB. LOVE doing things at local venues!
As we spoke she decided she also wanted us to do her flowers for her big day, and I was thrilled! I'm always happy when I get to play with flowers. We met for a deposit and contract signing and stayed in contact as things got closer we finalized the details of her nautical themed wedding and she sent me photos of what kinds of flowers she'd like.
She was the first meeting we held in our new (albeit messy at the time) showroom in HB to finalize all her details, to include the Starfish fold to the napkins! She brought me some special items to include in her bouquet which we did with honor!
Her setup couldn't have gone smoother - our team worked like a machine getting it setup so her family and friends could finish the details and make the magic happen. I found out after the fact that one of my friends and colleagues, Dyana officiated their ceremony for them! So exciting when that happens!

Here's a lil diddy, about Jess & Dian-a....
I've been singing that lil diddy to myself since I met with them mid February this year - it was love at first site! They found me through Facebook and told me of their needs and budget. Their smiles were contagious and the love for one another apparent! I knew we were going to get along wonderfully and wanted to do whatever we could to make their wedding day as special as we could!
Jess sent me her dream vision photos and her budget, and I knew we would be able to do what she was hoping for, and more! We were able to not only make the pieces she wanted, but to also pay for her dream sweethearts table vision come to life - from the same budget! I contacted my friend and colleague Esmeralda at Linens by Celina and showed her the photo. I ordered the linen and she took care of the rest.
The girls found a vintage love seat that they wanted to have reupholstered, but it wasn't in their budget - so we did it for them, and applied the material costs towards the purchase of the chair post wedding so we can share it with future brides!!!
I'm so very happy to share these photos with you! But now I have no excuse to sing my lil diddy.... Thank you girls, for allowing us to be a part of your amazing day! We wish you much love and happiness!!! MUAH

We are so very excited! We have found a new home for Our Wedding Closet! Still in Huntington Beach, just a mile and a half from where we've been - this new location allows 24/7 access, much more space, which means a real, honest to goodness SHOWROOM again! (as well as one other surprise to come)....
We will be moved, all settled and announcing by months end. We will be having a small open house, and would LOVE for you to join us and check out the new digs!!!

I signed up for this 30 day Marketing Challenge - we are in Day 4, and I'm finishing the challenge for Day 3 which is create a blog.
I'm afraid the mom has taken priority over the business owner this last month, yet we've still had an absolutely AMAZING month for OWC! We've done flowers for 3 wonderful brides, provided rentals and setup for 2 and booked a very large flower order for September with a new planner that we are so very excited to work with!
I'd like to take a quick moment and mention a few things that set us apart from other rental houses:
1. We are #clientfocused - that means we will do everything in our power to help YOU achieve the wedding that YOU"VE been dreaming of and planning
2. We are #budgetminded - we have the ability to work with just about every budget -

We had the opportunity to take part in a bridal show yesterday - put on by Bridal Showplace. They are an amazing company that puts on a great, highly attended show. Yesterday was at the Hilton Pasadena - and it was the David Tutera Show. This is where brides have the opportunity to attend a seminar, meet and greet and photo session with him. We felt this was the perfect show to introduce ourselves on a grand scale.
We arrived and set up with the usual style - other vendors looking at us with the 'what exactly do you do? And then the standard sneers of 'well you won't be very busy'..... well jokes on them. We had so many "EF Hutton" moments - (you'll know who this is if you're over 40) We had a very large corner booth and stopped traffic on multiple occations.
Because we are a NOT FOR PROFIT Company, we need to make sure that any advertising we do yields a pretty high ROI. We felt that this would be the perfect show to participate in and as such we went all in, and sponsored the David Tutera Event. We are SO GLAD we did!!!
Besides meeting and greeting, shaking hands and talking about our program with hundreds of brides and families - we meet many fellow colleagues, planners, coordinators and other vendors who are thrilled about what we do!
And at 2:30 I decided to go get in line for the Meet and Greet - as a sponsor we were allowed one person from our Company to attend, get an autographed copy of the book and have our photo taken with Mr.Tutera.
I walked over with Ann from Bridal Showplace - she informed me he's still in session and pushed me into the room so I could watch and take part in that as well. When it was finishing up I stepped outside into the line of 5 that quickly swelled to hundreds as the others left the seminar. I suddenly felt her arm in mind and was told "uhm, you're not waiting in any line - you sponsored this event." and I was taken to the door. Yes, this old lady was the first in line book in hand to meet and greet Mr. David Tutera! I showed him my logo on the step and repeat and he thought it was pretty cool, thanked me for sponsoring the event.
When I got home I already had THREE emails from people I talked to at the event following up.
It was an amazing day!!

We are so very excited! We are not only participating, but doing so as an event sponsor for the Bridal Showplace Show at the Pasadena Hilton this Sunday November 2nd from 11-4pm.
The beauty of this show is that Mr.David Tutera will be there!

What a great year it's been - we are looking forward to this 2014 Wedding Season, and just how many gorgeous weddings we can help happen!

These are from Matt and Wills November 9th Wedding in Laguna Beach!
The ceremony was all white with just a hint of red up the aisle - then for the reception we did a very dramatic change - black and silver with RED flowers and accents.
So dramatic and romantic!
Don't you just LOVE these rosette overlays?? We have them in black, white, ivory and red so far.

Wow! The response to the site has been overwhelming! We just didn't know it! Our inquiries vanished to the black hole of the internet - until this morning!
40 inquiries!! People with the kindest things to say - so sweet and supportive of our concept and goals! Can't wait to meet you all and help you create your dream wedding within your means - AND help out some VERY deserving Veterans and family members!
